Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent post high school education and/or work related experience
  • 10 years of prior Client Facing Project /Program Management experience
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision given a Client request
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent analytical problem solving and decision making skills, applied with a solution-focused attitude
  • Expert level MSProject skills
  • Ability to lead teams to deliver high quality solutions that fulfill Client requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy, and to interact with clients professionally and articulately.
  • Strong self-directed work habits, exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance, and professionalism
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Candidate must hold or be able to obtain a 6C (High Risk Public Trust) Clearance
  • Candidate must be a Citizen of the USA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active 6C (High Risk Public Trust) or Secret Clearance
  • Project management certification from a recognized provider.
  • Broad technical knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, cloud-scale hardware and virtualization platforms.
  • AWS technical experience as a Cloud Program and/or Project Manager

Responsibilities The

AWS Cloud Program Manager (PM) will own the Technical Program and day-to-day Project Management to move infrastructure and applications to an AWS cloud environment. The Cloud PM will have prior experience with AWS as an external partner and using AWS in large-scale applications. Will be responsible for program tracking and common Project Management Principles (Agile development and Project Management methods, e.g. SCRUM). Mapping complex combinations of resources against objectives, track dependencies and risk, assess impact of change across interdependent workstreams and projects. This is a Telework position.

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the performance of technical projects to migrate workload to a Cloud Environment in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives. Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages integration of vendor tasks, tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Provides management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation and support. Responsible for the preparation of and accountability for all deliverables . Specify systems requirements and insure that completed systems meet requirements. Prepares and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols, and other technical documentation . Collaborate with internal stakeholders and develop programs to enable the partners Lead and improve program operational & reporting procedures (activities, goals, funding, budgeting, etc.). Participate in workshops, design sessions and other program management activities to drive closure to tasks and meet project objectives. Lead and facilitate technical discussions with customers, partners and AWS teams.
