The Advanced Security and Communications Systems Market Leader is responsible for market growth in the regions across North America to internal and external Clients. Accountability for organizational management to achieve agreed performance targets relating to growth of the market and ensuring GHD is ahead of technology market trends. Business Development and Sales for Technology Consulting and Design professional services. Sales assistance to other GHD Market Leaders selling, and expanding, GHD professional engineering services as it relates specifically to low-voltage technology systems (i.e. Security, Communications, and A/V). Have a strong understanding of; Security Systems, Structured Cabling Systems, and Audiovisual Systems. Responsibilities:- Design and execute a strategy to increase GHD's consulting and design services market share in;
- Electronic Security Systems Design and Consulting Services,
- IT Communications Infrastructure Design and Consulting (Structured Cabling) Services, and
- Audiovisual and Broadcast Design and Consulting Services.
- Develop and implement low-voltage technology professional services (Security, Communications, and A/V) Market Business Plan.
- Ensure a coordinated approach to maintaining client management systems, and client relationship management systems, capturing regular contact and meetings with key clients.
- Promote relationships with existing and potential clients in region and increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business.
- Expand client base by promoting GHD's building technology (Security, Communications, and A/V) design services proactively.
- Proactively collaborate with other GHD Market Sector Leaders to position and win multidisciplinary projects within the Region.
- Represents and promotes GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows.
- Maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunity for the business in order to meet strategic and annual targets/objectives.
- Leading and/or input into strategic client and project pursuit planning.
- Leading and/or input on major tenders/bids and proposals; and
- Identify new areas of technology services within the Industry, based on client feedback and market trends, which require enhancement to meet present or future opportunities to grow the Business.
- Provide leadership at a regional level to the GHD internal market groups across North America. This includes leading all large business development activities in relation to the market, as well as co-coordinating and directing activities and resources regionally for the successful delivery of projects.
- Leading and managing significant client facing activities, to create productive relationships that yield annual growth and revenue targets across the region.
- Collaborating with senior management, colleagues, and project partners to facilitate innovative project outcomes.
- Coaching and mentoring staff in the sector to increase business development capability and client connectivity.
- Contributing to GHD's short and long-term profitability through Project Director responsibilities as required and through the identification of profitable opportunities.
- Improving opportunity conversion levels across the sector.
- Leading or supporting pursuit plans and tender responses for major projects/pursuits.
- Play a leadership role in undertaking activities which contribute to GHD's short and long term profitability.
- Establish and implement a strategic vision for Technology, ensuring that GHD has a rigorous business plan for short and long term growth.
- Improve sales success rates.
- Effectively communicate and oversee the management of significant client's revenue and project budgets
- Sustainable growth of GHD's Technology Market Sector revenue
- Gross and Net Revenue Growth for the Technology Business Unit.
- Maintain a win rate and by winning key clients
- Maintain positive client Surveys
- Lead strategic Health of Business, Strong Opportunity Pipeline supporting Revenue & Market Sector Growth/ Client Development - Balanced growth in portfolio
- Effective management of any designated proposal budgets
- Identifying and winning key clients and establish cost of retention
- Corporate business development relating to the Market, promoting growth and sustainable profitability
