Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in Chantilly, Virginia. This role is situated within a hybrid workplace model, with onsite presence required 2-3 times a week. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the financial team, with a focus on audit preparation, financial statement compilation, month and year end closings, and oversight of accounts receivable and payable. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including the management of accounts receivable and payable. Prepare financial statements to provide a clear understanding of the company's financial position. Ensure the accurate setup of projects, taking into consideration billing and revenue recognition for FFP, T& M, and CPF contracts. Use your expertise in Deltek Costpoint for various financial operations and reporting. Prepare for audits by ensuring all financial records are accurate follow GAAP, DCAA, and other related requirements. Handle the submission of invoices to government portals such as GSA, IPP, WAWF. Develop and maintain Work In Progress (WIP) reports to track the status of ongoing projects. Engage in activities related to month and year-end closings to ensure all financial matters are settled in a timely manner. Use your understanding of government contracts to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is essential Strong background in general accounting practices including Accounting Degree and/or CPA.
