Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePublic Trust/Other Required: OtherJob Family: Data ScienceGDIT is looking for a Data Analyst to support the Division of Federal Systems (DFS) within the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE)The primary responsibility will be an lead advisory role in the requirements and design of a new data analytics platform to support the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement's Division of Federal Systems data analytics needs. This person will function in a project leadership role, and will interact with both the customer team and the development/operations contractor that maintains the majority of DFS systems and applications.serve as lead data engineer for the GDIT-maintained proof-of-concept environment, tests new tools, products and processes to evaluate potential solutions for long term production environment, and in the long term, will assist in managing the analytics infrastructure.

Advises on designing and automating processes for extracting, manipulating, joining, and making sense of data distributed across multiple types of databases and file-systems and in various data formats.

Develops and conducts tests to ensure data solutions meet documented user requirements.

Supports existing legacy data analytics process by serving as an advisor/business requirements analyst for the existing management information repositories, as well as supporting the data quality and data validation processes already in place.

Analyzes user stories to determine technical and analytical requirements to support them; work with business SMEs across the program to design and develop dashboards, data visualizations, and other analytics data products as needed to support user stories.

Collaborates with development/operations team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.

Collaborates across data analytics branch within the Division of Federal Systems to develop and support business processes for reviewing, prioritizing and developing data and analytics solutions.

Works with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Position requirements:BA/ (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience

Strong technical-writing and documentation skills, as well as the ability to communicate well with both technical staff and business SMEs.

Experience with containerization, including building and running containers, is preferred.

Experience with Python, Airflow (or other workflow automation), and Git/SCM/Configuration-as-code is strongly preferred.

May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals; will likely train other analytics team and project members on the use of selected end user analytics tools.

May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)
