The newly instantiated Engagements division within the Corporate Chief Engineer's Office is chartered to lead the enterprise in collaborative innovation. The Systems Director for Engagements will cultivate and advance communications between Aerospace and its customers, partners, and team members. You will manage multiple corporate-sponsored external engagements such as the Mission Assurance Summit, the Mission Success Improvement Workshop, and the Space Collaboration council. You will work with industry to identify and cultivate opportunities for innovation, evolve mission assurance practices to be more agile and responsive, and bring people together to address hard enterprise problems. In this role, you will be an active part of shaping the future of Aerospace through the development and oversight of external workshops, industry and government forums, and Aerospace-sponsored external events.Work Model: May work out of any of Aerospace's corporate locations. Part-time telework may be authorized depending on customer needs and management approval.What You'll Be Doing- Identify and develop mission assurance approaches that serve a highly dynamic future space industry
- Build bridges across Aerospace and its customers set to achieve enterprise integration and efficiency
- Evolve Aerospace-sponsored collaborative forums to address the enterprise's need for efficiency, innovation, and close working relations
- Manage and improve enterprise knowledge base and develop new ways of information sharing
- Provide thought leadership to advance agile mission assurance and systems engineering initiatives
- Establish, facilitate, and lead coordinated panels to improve the state of the aerospace industry
- Advance and evolve the Space Quality Improvement Council, the Joint Mission Assurance Council, the Space Collaboration Council, the Mission Success Improvement Workshop, and the Mission Assurance Summit
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, science or math
- 12 or more years of dynamically responsible relevant professional engineering / scientific experience including program office and systems engineering
- Proven experience in building and leading teams with diverse skills mix
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Moderate Travel Required (post COVID-19)
- Current SCI access, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
- Advanced technical degree in engineering, science, or math
- Aerospace ETG and Program Office leadership experience
- Experience managing remote staff
- Current, or ability to obtain SAP accesses
