Description SAIC has an immediate opening to work on an exciting mission focused program. In this role you will work as part of our team of Technical Operators, providing hands-on mission critical support to a unique technical capability. You will provide full lifecycle engineering support from concept initiation, design, prototyping, system development, test & integration, deployment, operations, and maintenance. The Technical Systems Operator should be familiar with communications systems and computer networking, as well as have an understanding of operational environments, planning and execution. Here are some of the things you will do:
  • Identify operational impacts and pitfalls associated with end-to-end communications system development
  • Identify and respond to anomalous system behavior
  • Develop tactics, techniques, and procedures for sustainable operations
  • Provide operator experience feedback to system developer for improved operational performance
  • Review developer designs for technical risks and recommend mitigation approaches
  • Interface with external mission partners and analytic organizations to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Provide input to operational planning and target development products
  • Provide actionable recommendations during operational debriefs and planning sessions
  • Draft and coordinate operational communications with external organizations
Qualifications
  • At least 9 years of relevant technical and/or operational experience
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly
  • RF Experience
  • Understanding of SATCOM architecture
  • Experience working with and operating SATCOM gear
  • Experience utilizing multiple computer Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, etc.)
  • Experience working with customers across the DoD and/or IC
  • Experience with MS Office and Visio
