Responsibilities

The customer's Hosting Services Group (HSG) plans, develops, delivers, sustains, and brokers Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and capabilities to meet the enterprise IT requirements of customer's acquisition programs and operational mission systems. This includes providing hosting evironments and data center management for their systems. The array of hosting solutions increases the reliability, resiliency, and flexibility of the their enterprise's systems, while accelerating the deployment of new capabilities. This position supports the Data Center Management Division (DMD) which oversees and directs the acquisition, maintenance and support of data centers throughout, while driving transformation and modernization. The DMD operates in a cross-organizational manner, coordinating delivery of facility construction, modification, installation, decommission, and mission anomalies. The DMD also serves as the interface to external IC and DoD entities for all customer data center related activities. In addition to supporting the above functions, responsibilities of this position include, but is not limited to:
  • Providing technical, consulting, and administrative oversight support for data center projects
  • Acting as a technical advisor to DMD
  • Providing battle rythm adminstrative functions in support of DMD
  • Supporting requirements, scope and change management including the Request for Change (RFC) process and related approval boards
  • Providing analysis and support of Tracking Information and Enterprise Requirements (TIERs)
  • Supporting planning, communication, and coordination of activities with various teams
  • Developing logistical and other documents as needed
  • Conducting site surveys and completing documents as needed
  • Providing expertise and knowledge in the areas of Project Management, Cloud Hosting and Data Centers

Qualifications

Required:
  • TS/SCI w Poly
  • 5-8 years experience System Engineering role of simialr scope (8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PHD)
  • Bachelors degree in science or math, or related field
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting and data centers
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Ability to travel, if needed (10%)

Preferred:
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • ITIL v3 or 4 certification
  • Experience as a technical advisor
  • Knowledge of IC Customer
