Responsibilities This role will serve as part of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the implementation, integration and sustainment of a fully integrated supply chain solution that provides the full spectrum of medical logistics. The Supply Chain delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.

This team will be focused on implementing a scalable to support accelerated site deployment, while at the same time supporting integration with additional VA systems and sustainment of current integrations.

The team will have a blend of specific expertise and experience in SAFe Agile, Product Management, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), engineering, and Data Migration.

The CI/CD Engineer is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure. They will create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple Java and .NET environments as well as write build and deployment scripts.

Responsibilities:
  • Support CI/CD tools integration/ operations/ change management, and maintenance.
  • Support full automation of CI/ Testing.
  • Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
  • On-board/ train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards.
  • Enable DevOps by moving code from Dev/Test to Staging and Production.
  • Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Continually improve CI/CD tools, processes and procedures.
  • Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments.
  • Develop and maintain Build, Deployment, and Continuous Integration systems.
  • Participate in ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across our cloud stack.
  • Work closely with Development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end quality.
  • Own production incidents/issues and provide level 2 response to infrastructure incidents and alerts.
  • Work with third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues.

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience:
  • 10 Years of IT Experience
  • 6 Years of Agile / SAFe Experience
  • 3 Years of CI/CD Experience
  • Experienced in Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within an "Agile" environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge on GIT, Jenkins, and Jira is a must.
  • Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment and operations concepts.
  • Experience with:
  • Build-time dependency management
  • Unit testing and code-coverage tools
  • Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments
Education/Certifications/Clearance:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline (or Bachelors Degree w/10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • CI/CD Certification, such as GitLab CI/CD Specialist or Certified Jenkins Engineer, would be helpful
  • Current VA PIV card, VA GFE Laptop, and VA network access, would be helpful
  • Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust.

For Colorado Residents Colorado Salary Minimum: $93,121.60 Colorado Salary Maximum:$199,076.80 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
