Responsibilities This role will serve as part of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the implementation, integration and sustainment of a fully integrated supply chain solution that provides the full spectrum of medical logistics. The Supply Chain delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.

This team will be focused on implementing a scalable to support accelerated site deployment, while at the same time supporting integration with additional VA systems and sustainment of current integrations.

The team will have a blend of specific expertise and experience in SAFe Agile, Product Management, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), engineering, and Data Migration.

The Scrum Master will join a high performing agile team that uses the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support VA. Program execution follows DEVOPS best practices and employs robust development, test and production environments. Test Driven Development (TDD) and test automation tools are utilized alongside a full suite of team collaboration tools. The program is focused on injecting new technology and adding advanced capabilities in support of an on-going operational system.

Responsibilities:
  • Works in an agile environment and is able to follow Lean and SAFe Agile Methodology.
  • Manages requirements and user stories with input from the Program Manager, Technical Lead, Development Lead, and the customer as well as other teams within the contract.
  • Raises any issues or impediments to development progress and escalates them to the Program Manager and/or Technical Lead, along with recommendations for resolution.
  • Works with the team to provide Business Process workflows to ensure current and future processes are documented.
  • Conducts outreach and coordination with stakeholders, and acts as liaison between stakeholders, Government and Contractor Management, and the team.
  • Monitors status of team and helps where necessary.
  • Keeps user stories updated in the requirements tool and on the scrum board
  • Enter new user stories into the requirements tool
  • Work with team to groom the backlog
  • Run the daily scrums
  • Manage the change management process for deployments
  • Manage the testing process for deployments
  • Create the weekly report
  • Request system accesses for team members
  • Schedule meetings and conference rooms
  • Attend meetings and take meeting minutes
  • Assist Program Manager with creating briefings

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience:
  • 8 Years of IT Experience
  • 5 years SAFe and/or Agile / Scrum environment experience
  • 3 Years of Scrum Master or Team Lead Experience
  • Ability to guide the Product Owner maintenance of product, release, and sprint backlogs
  • Ability to facilitate the sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings
  • Ability to facilitate the daily scrum of business analysts, developers, and testers in SAFe / Agile / Scrum teams in a highly results orientated environment utilizing CI/CD principles
  • Experience using agile project management tools (e.g. Jira, VersionOne, Rallye, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC))
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, across diverse systems and groups.
Education/Certifications/Clearance:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or similar agile project management certification (PMI-ACP)
  • Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust

For Colorado Residents Colorado Salary Minimum: $60,340.80 Colorado Salary Maximum:$129,001.60 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
