Description SAIC is seeking a

Software Development Engineer to provide expertise supporting CI/CD pipelines deployed in multiple Commercial Cloud Services environments. This is a critical position on the Landmark AOS SETA contract responsible for the complete end-to-end lifecycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise. This position is located in Chantilly, VA and all candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph for consideration.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Support the developers in the deployment and maintenance of critical applications on cloud-native micro services architecture
  • Provide expertise and oversight to the developers in the implementation of automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Assist in the developer's deployment and maintenance of a CI/CD pipeline across multiple environments in multiple security enclaves
  • Support and work alongside cross-functional engineering teams on the latest technologies and customer requirements
  • Drive best practices to increase quality and velocity of deployments
  • Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the internal and external engineering teams
  • Provide recommendations for DevOps/Agile principles to define capability roadmaps, EPICs, Features and verifying and summarizing EPICs against a Plan
  • Provide support to the Program Office in execution of mission critical systems
  • Providing agile expertise and oversight of software development activities; ensuring agile development and implementation map to government needs
  • Representing government at vendor led release and sprint planning events; ensuring government and stakeholder needs are prioritized
  • Provide recommendations against solutions to assist in prioritizing developer backlogs in alignment with capability deliveries to Operations
  • Providing analyses of program data to ensure that accurate status of cost, schedule, and performance of development contracts in support of monitoring and controlling the program
  • Providing analysis and recommendations to the Government on implementing Agile methodologies in support of program execution to facilitate capability delivery within cost and schedule
  • Providing recommendations to the Government concerning program execution
  • Representing the Program Office in the customer's program execution discussions related to current and future contracts
  • Proactively engage with Agile Development teams to assess execution performance, and based on those assessments, advise Government on implementation strategies
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly
  • BA/BS Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems, Information Technology or similar field; 9 years or more experience; masters and 7 years or more experience (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • 1 or more AWS certifications in Operations or Development, minimum Associate level (or other cloud service provider, i.e. Azure, OCI, GCP)
  • 1 or more certifications in: CISSP, ITIL, Sec+, other security certifications, Linux, Agile
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Operational Systems or Development Platforms
  • 3-5 years of experience managing teams and facilitating cross team collaboration
  • Extensive DevSecOps experience
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Experience using Enterprise CI/CD Tools (GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience driving the adoption of shift-level approach, policy-as-code, security-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, and zero trust compliance
  • Knowledge of RMF, PCI-DSS, HIPPA, SOX, GDPR, or CCPA Standards and Policies

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
  • Experience supporting developer environments, tools, and methods including analyzing and advocating for developer needs
  • Involvement working with Developer, DevOps, and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote and implement the DevOps program throughout the organization
  • Comprehension in the security areas of Key Management Systems, Certificate Management, Encryption, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning, Security and Monitoring tools, etc.
  • Expertise in configuring, implementing and leveraging computer security and networking diagnostic/monitoring tools
  • Experience coordinating and performing vulnerability assessments through the use of automated and manual tools
  • Ability to renew and analyze vulnerability data with security teams to identify risks and prepare vulnerability reports for automation definition and establishing policy
  • Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages (preferable Python, JavaScript, Go)
  • Familiarity with RHEL/CENTOS systems administration
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms or container technologies
  • Experience with the following areas:
    • Git-based development workflows and tools
    • integrating automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
    • implementing and/or integrating automation with disparate platforms and technologies
