PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
The Production Coordinator is responsible for the timely and successful production and delivery of all TSG city guides. They are the primary point of contact for production internally with all departments, and externally with print vendors and Editors. In addition, the production coordinator will work with the entire HQ team by supporting them in the organization and trafficking of print projects and brand collateral, and by communicating with outside vendors to ensure that materials are produced accurately and on time. This position is for our Headquarters office in Charlottesville, Virginia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages annual production calendar, creating an environment for successful completion and production of 50+ city guides annually
Demonstrates exceptional customer service to editors, clients, and vendors
Confers with franchise success managers, art director, and graphic designers throughout production to keep them informed of the status of jobs, solicits additional information as needed, and coordinate changes to jobs
Updates production calendar and timelines as new information develops; notifies necessary teams or individuals accordingly
Ensures overall quality control measures are in place to assure all jobs produced are of premium quality, at the best possible cost, and on time to meet client deadlines
Reviews all art files before being sent to print, ensuring all specifications are accurate and valid for production and requested information is included
Manages multiple vendors and freelancers, integrating their deliverables into the overall production schedule to ensure successful launch of city guides in print and online
Liaises directly with vendors for the organized, effective, and efficient completion of city guides
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
Familiarity with and understanding of print production standards
Highly organized with ability to prioritize deadlines and tasks; demonstrates attention to detail and time-management
Ability to maintain a flexible outlook, reprioritizing and troubleshooting project changes, and managing shifting production timelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to work independently and focus in a deadline-sensitive, creative, open-work environment
Strong knowledge of Google Drive and MS Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
PREFERRED
Knowledge of offset and digital print processes
Print coordination experience, and understanding of material specifications and workflows
Work experience in a commercial print environment
Knowledge of direct mail printing
