Under the general supervision of a Senior Licensed Architect, the Architect Intern will collaborate with a Project Manager and/or other team members. The Architect Intern will participate in all phases of project (schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration phases). Abilities should include construction document understanding and fluent use of AutoCAD and Revit to generate everything from preliminary building designs to complete construction documents. Additional responsibilities include providing support with rough order of magnitude estimates using RS Means (online) and Microsoft Excel software. Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills, and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time. Duties and Responsibilities:Working on design development, construction drawings, as-built drawings, 2D drafting, BIM 3D Modeling, and generating ROM estimates.Coordinate with consulting engineers and product vendors.Create renderings, colored elevations, or other graphic documents for meetings, presentations, or submittals.Assist in field verification, including field measurements and record documentation.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Studies and possess a desire to succeed in a career of Architecture and Asset Management. NAAB-accredited degree preferred but not required.0-3 years of experience.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Photoshop is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel software is required.Willingness to work on a team and within an open office environment and be able to openly communicate with colleagues and clients about all aspects of ongoing projects.Basic knowledge of building construction techniques, products, and systems.Uses knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawingsStrong analytical skills in understanding and evaluating designs.Strong organizational skills.Detailed oriented.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
