Our company has a 40 year history as one of the leading suppliers of architectural millwork and cabinetry to the high-end residential market. Our work takes us throughout the Eastern United States, with a focus on Virginia, Maryland, New York and Connecticut, where customers demand the absolute highest level of craftsmanship. Our primary focus is on new residential construction and renovations. In addition, our expertise and capabilities are sought out for important historical restoration projects and has included work at numerous national historic landmarks including Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.

Our company is seeking individuals with a background in computer-based architectural drafting to facilitate the preparation of detailed shop drawings for use by our production floor. Position responsibilities include:

o Produce timely and accurate detailed shop drawings from architectural drawings while understanding shop construction techniques.

o Work within a multi-functional team to review job requirements, manage changes in drawings and additions in order to create a clearly defined path of construction for shop.

o Perform field measuring assistance as needed.

o Communicate with Project Managers, architects and general contractors to verify solutions and conditions.

o Manage schedules and priorities while meeting deadlines.

o Independently solve problems in close coordination with members of the project team.

o Keen eye for detail

o Ability to multitask

Required Background

o Proficiency using AutoCAD, preferable AutoCAD 2014, mandatory

o Proficiency with AutoCAD Inventor and/or willingness to learn.

o Highly skilled in Microsoft Windows applications including Excel, Word, etc.

o Experience in an architectural environment, preferably in woodworking, desirable

o Experience with cabinet manufacturing or assembly desirable.

o Experience in CNC programming highly desirable.
