UVA Medical Center is seeking a Vocera and Voice Engineer to join our Health Information Technology division. This Engineer will provide hardware/software support of Vocera and other VoIP computing systems in the following areas: application development/maintenance for operating systems, computer operations, telecommunications, field engineering, and/ or systems control. You will also be responsible for installing, modifying and monitoring basic, routine, and advanced computer systems and programs.

  • Displays competency in the implementation and troubleshooting of Call Flows- Displays.
  • Competency centered around reporting and answering related questions from users of the system.
  • Displays the ability to independently consult with smaller user groups and determine the best course of action for their needs.
  • Participates in after-hours on-call (additional compensation provided).
  • Design new, basic, routine, and advanced computer systems and/or programs.
  • Daily operational tasks as needed.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $58,760.00 - $93,995.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

COVID Vaccination Requirement
