Provides hardware/software support of computing systems in the following areas: application development/maintenance operating systems computer operations telecommunications field engineering or systems control. Install troubleshoot analyze and maintain basic routine utility system programs.
Performs advanced implementation for systems application and monitoring with a focus on Citrix engineering support (Epic, application, and VDI solutions) within the UVA Health System. Duties will include image development, Epic WarpDrive management, maintaining infrastructure patch requirements, Citrix infrastructure maintenance, and documentation. Reviews, implements, and deploys new and existing departmental applications via Citrix as well as assisting in tasks relating to all EMR upgrades.- Performs duties of considerable complexity in supportof computing systems
- Demonstrates overall responsibility for hardware/software installation and maintenance system performance and problem resolution
- Performs advanced implementation/support for systems application and monitoring
- Performs rotating and supplemental on-call
- Performs periodic maintenance on Citrix infrastructure
- Performs operational tasks related to the upkeep of Citrix infrastructure
- Performs Citrix administration/maintenance of assigned servers
- Performs server hardware maintenance & support
- Performs application level support.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $32.48 - $51.98 HourlyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field requiredExperience: 3 years of experience required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Licensure: None requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
