The Director, Digital Transformation is responsible for driving the implementation and ongoing optimization of key strategic initiatives that are a part of UVAH's digital transformation. (S)he works closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to design and execute services offered by UVAH to better serve the existing patient population, to attract new patients to the system, to enable improved provider workflows, and to drive increased efficiency and quality of care.

  • Lead the Health Information Technology (HIT) Digital Transformation Team
  • Work with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to build out UVAH's high-level digital transformation roadmap.
  • Facilitate cross-functional advisory work groups across the clinical operations, IT, marketing, legal, human resources, finance, revenue cycle, and others, from detailed design through execution and ongoing optimization
  • In collaboration with cross-functional advisory work group members, identify operational and clinical support functions and process required to move the initiative forward
  • With cross-functional advisory work groups, design and monitor meaningful KPIs, supported by learning agendas and measurement plans aligned to program goals, that serve to continuously identify opportunities for optimization of initiative benefit realization
  • Drive business case development for new strategic use cases in partnership with key stakeholders to quantify anticipated benefits, determine investment requirements, and identify other requirements (e.g., operational, technical, cultural) for successful execution.
  • Plan and implement initiatives, including kickoff meetings, draft of project charters, reinforcement and maintenance of initiative scope, facilitation of requirements identification, developing detailed initiative project plans, maintaining initiative budget, and establishing a framework for the management of ongoing initiative activities
  • Champion initiative's strategic objectives and benefits for UVAH and its consumers as an active contributor to change management and go-to-market efforts required for initiative success
  • Produce and maintain KPI dashboards and status reports in collaboration with project leads
  • Support development of policies and processes to manage demand for digital initiatives and streamline business processes related to digital transformation across initiative lifecycles to promote a lean learning organization

Position Compensation Range: $135,678.40 - $217,089.60 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

Experience: Minimum seven (7) years of experience in progressively more responsible roles. Experience within the healthcare sector, ideally with provider, operations, patient portals and digital experience, preferred.
