Demonstrates proficiency in imaging systems (including but not limited to imaging ultrasound CT MRI PACS digital radiography portable xray and radiation therapy technology)engineering disciplines including electronics pneumatics mechanical systems TCP/IP networking human anatomy and physiology. Provides oversight and administers daily operations and priorities for technical staff. Responsible for managing the coordination and provision of comprehensive medical equipment related services in focus clinical and administrative areas including technical support training procedural assistance vendor interface preventive maintenance and repair on complex medical equipment. Knowledge of systems and tools is proficient to aid in development and to resolve equipment problems and issues.
Perform as first line full-service expert in focus clinical and administrative areas specializing in imaging ultrasound CT MRI and radiation therapy technology
Demonstrates proficiency of preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs on minor to complex medical equipment
Demonstrates proficiency in maintaining UVA medical equipment inventory system
Coordinate and/or perform installation and initial inspections on medical equipment
Ensures compliance with all safety rules codes practices and policies
Mentors and trains technical staff.

Position Compensation Range: $30.13 - $48.21 HourlyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Associate’s Degree or CBET, Microsoft, Medical Device Manufacturer Certification, etc.Experience: 5 years relevant experienceLicensure: Valid Virginia Driver's License requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires sitting and standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/climbing ladders, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and walking (distance: 1 – 2 miles/day), Repetitive motion: computer keyboard and driving/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs.
