The Manager of Health Information Technology Security has responsibility for developing, implementing, and directing the Information Security Program for the University of Virginia Health System (UVAHS). Accordingly, the Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the implementation of strategic initiatives to preserve the availability, integrity and confidentiality of Health System information resources.
- Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive Information Security Program.
- Manage Information Security Identity and Access Management Program.
- Serve as an information security leader in the organization.
- Provides effective leadership.
- Models effective communication and collaboration skills / behaviors.
- Supports innovation and organizational change to improve effectiveness.
- Develops talent of Information Security team and others to develop their capabilities.
- Achieves budgetary goals.
- Applies knowledge of functional area to effectively manage operations.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $106,974.40 - $171,163.20 AnnualMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Bachelor's Degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer. Experience: 3 yrs years of demonstrated experience in related area, preferably leadership information technology security experience within the healthcare industry. Licensure: One or more of the following professional certifications preferred: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Global Information Assurance Certification (SANS/GIAC) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Health Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
