Do you love to cook but not enjoy the typical hours required for the industry? Would you like to work part time yet still have creative license over the menu? We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic candidate to join our staff as part-time Breakfast Chef. The Breakfast Chef is responsible for all food production, menu development, food purchase specifications and recipes. We provide a fun atmosphere with an opportunity to grow and competitive pay. ¦Title: Breakfast Chef

¦Location: Trump Winery, 20 minutes south of Downtown Charlottesville

¦Hours: 7:30AM to 11AM, 4 to 5 days per week, to include some weekends

¦Pay: $12 to $15/hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

-Plans breakfast menus

-Responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes and specifications

-Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

-Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

-Clean up station and take care of leftover food

-Order, receive, and stock inventory appropriately

-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

-Perform all kitchen-related opening and closing duties

-Cleaning tasks in the kitchen and Tasting Room, as assigned

-Team Player

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be able to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment

-Must be able to work weekends and holidays

-Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds

-Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

-Familiar with industrys best practices

-Positive, professional, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

-Self-directed, motivated, independent, and able to take direction; can do attitude

-Outstanding customer service; sincere desire to create a memorable guest experience; handle pressure gracefully; commitment to excellence and high standards

-Must be able to supervise staff and develop and monitor food and labor budget for the department all while maintaining the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards.
