Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Partners is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support on-site construction operations in Charlottesville, VA. This position plays a key role in coordinating job site activities, ensuring schedules are met, and maintaining clear communication among all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Be present on the job site to place and accept material orders
Return unused materials
Coordinate with the General Contractor, Project Manager, employees, and subcontractors
Ensure benchmarks, inspections, and project timelines are met
Attend daily job meetings with the General Contractor
Conduct toolbox talks for subcontractors and employees
Maintain job site organization and support overall project execution
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience in construction, project coordination, or assistant project management preferred
Familiarity with mechanical and plumbing (MEP) work is a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of construction schedules, inspections, and safety practices
