Summary/Objective

Performs guest safety and recreational work supervising, swimming and enforcing regulations at a community pool as well as providing for the guest(s) comfort. An essential responsibility of this role includes ensuring cleanliness, setting -up and safety of all areas and facilities and attend to all guests needs within the community pool area as per the safety guidelines of the property management.

Essential Functions

Arrive 10 minutes before the shift begins.

Greet and assist residents and check for pool passes at both pools.

Unlock the entrance to the pool, the pump room, and the restroom.

Check to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.

Check the pool water, if discolored notify the Property Manager.

Ground crew maintain the waters clarity/chemicals.

Complete the opening and closing duties checklist.

Clean and maintain the pool deck throughout your shift.

Clean and maintain restroom throughout your shift.

Enforce all community pool rules.

Develop and maintain a friendly relationship with members of the pool.

Maintain pool cleanliness, safety, and guest relationships by hourly walks around the deck and pool.

Notify the Property Manager of any issues on daily checklist and turn into drop box at office each day.

Pool supplies checked regularly, notify Property Manager if any items are needed.

Grace Hill courses completed in a timely fashion.

No supervisory responsibility for this position

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part time position. The position is for April “ August; typical work hours and days are Monday through Sunday. A typical shift schedule is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Travel/ Driving

Minimal travel between communities is expected for this position. Driving is not necessary as the pools are within walking distance of each other.

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

Basic Computer knowledge

Previous experience working as a Pool Guest Attendant or Lifeguard a plus.

Employment is conditional on satisfactorily completing all pre-employment requirements including background and drug screen. Starting wages depend skills and experience.
