Electronic Security Technician (Charlottesville, VA)

Local, established lock company seeks a full-time electronic security technician with a positive, hardworking attitude and a desire to expand his/her knowledge in the field. Duties consist of installation and programming of residential and commercial security equipment to include alarm, video surveillance, and access control systems, as well as performing other mechanical locksmith tasks. Additionally, discretion is required when working with master key systems to ensure privacy and security for our customers. During downtime, the candidate is expected to clean and organize the shop, assist with inventory maintenance, and expand locksmith knowledge. Shop supervisor may also be a future opportunity for the right person. Due to the nature of our business, the candidate must pass a FBI background check through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice (VA DCJS).
