Are you a fitness professional looking to build your expertise and passion into a career, or take your current fitness career to the next level? We're looking for an experienced General Manager to build and run a new HIIT program in Charlottesville, VA.

This role includes leading and developing a strong team of coaches, cultivating a sense of connection and support among clients and in the broader community, and most importantly, delivering a top of class and expert product. In addition to coaching and managing the HIIT programming, this position would be responsible for some front of house management, in partnership with our front office manager(s) and business ownership. This is the perfect position for any fitness professional with a strong background or passion for developing the full scope business, with a drive for growth. This position has a strong competitive base salary, and an incentive based structure for hitting sales goals and targets.

Role & Responsibilities:

Coaching

Maintain Accredited Personal training certification.

Successfully complete our 8 Hour In-House coaches training.

Coach 12-14 classes per week.

Participate in 2-3 (minimum) classes per week.

Coaches Training / Management:

Responsible for scheduling coaching staff for classes and maintaining proper coverage of all classes

Responsible for establishing strong coaching standards and development opportunities .

Front Office Administration

Highly proficient in all aspects of Mindbody (MB - software).

Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly reporting utilizing the MB system.

Ensure that all front desk systems are followed; member check-in, client account management, customer calls and inquiries.

Maintain and monitor daily coaches checklist & class protocol

Enforce all policies, business practices and processes and lead by example.

Respond timely to all owner/manager inquiries.

Create and maintain weekly status and event marketing reports for management.

Sales

Responsible for overseeing and driving the sales process and local strategy.

Highly proficient in the pricing model, pitches and client options; strong sales skills.

Train staff in all pricing options and provide sales mentorship where needed.

Manage and exceed all sales goals.

Manage and exceed all membership targets.

Manage and exceed all revenue goals, with understanding of basic accounting spend and trend analysis.

Develop and maintain monthly sales reports for management.

Develop and maintain a competitor analysis report.

Operations

Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean, maintained and operationally sound at all times.

Responsible for the creation of the maintenance manuals and adherence to the manual's schedule.

Order and maintain proper supplies without pause or client service interruption.

Maintain service contracts on equipment and services.

Client Experience

Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service for all clients and guests.

Provide effective decision-making regarding customer service issues.

Respond within 24 hours or less to all customer inquiries.

Create an environment in which clients feel you are approachable and well informed as an authority in fitness and business.

Community Development

Ensure branding through consistency and continuity in all actions, events and community development.

Attend fitness classes and community events weekly in the community.

Establish and maintain a strong personal and appropriate personal brand through social media presence and engagement.

Collaborate with community fitness partners to create a culture of inclusion and build credibility.

Develop and maintain relationships with bloggers to share, promote and collaborate on locally driven and branded events.

Leadership/Management

Provide strong leadership and management skills to cultivate a positive, successful environment for staff and clients.

Model all studio activities through self-involvement (leading by example).

Responsible for hiring, developing, mentoring and maintaining a superior coaching staff.

Administer coach's performance evaluations.

Ability to give in the moment feedback.

Ability to receive feedback and make the appropriate performance improvements in the moment.

Create an environment of unification and a team building through 1:1 coaching and relationship development.

Develop and leverage team strengths to create a high performance team.

Empower, monitor and evaluate responsibilities of coaches and front desk staff.

Coordinate and administer staff meetings and team building activities.

Establish and develop strong communication channels with coaches to ensure proper communication of all information, updates, changes

Certifications/Qualifications/Education

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participatory leadership style and drive for excellence.

Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or exercise related degree with 3+ years of management experience preferred.

Knowledge with Microsoft and Apple products.

Proficient in utilizing spreadsheets for reporting.

Strong customer service orientation with proven results.

Hold and maintain Accredited Fitness Certifications.

CPR Certified.
