JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities include installation and operational support of all Audio Visual (AV) services offered by the company. This includes but is not limited to: conference room AV systems, distributed audio systems, digital signage, wireless presentation systems, stage lighting systems, network infrastructure, and corporate AV events. Work activities may include outdoor conditions, working on scaffolding, tall ladders and motorized lifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install and maintain audio visual equipment including but not limited to: display devices, projectors, televisions, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers, lighting systems.

Maintain inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid any shortages.

Setup and operate audio visual equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings and conferences.

Conduct troubleshooting of AV system at customer sites.

Assemble and disassemble audio visual equipment as needed.

Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and timely.

Provide technical assistance to other AV Techs when required.

Setup and operate AV systems for events.

Provide accurate labor tracking data.

Maintain clean and safe working environments.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2 years of AV experience required.

CTS certification a plus.

Able to manage cable installation & terminate a wide range of AV and data connectors.

Able to read and understand project drawings and schematics, engineering notes, and operation manuals.

Able to understand construction blueprints, and demonstrated knowledge of commercial construction practices.

Possess knowledge of, and experience with the installation of Audio-Visual systems and equipment including front/rear projection; flat panel displays; control systems; audio and video signal routing and processing equipment, and integration of same.

Able to fabricate, wire, and test equipment racks and cabinets.

Able to hang projection screens, display panels, and related audio-visual equipment.

Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.

Able to properly and safely use and operate lifts, scaffolding, hand tools, and power tools.

Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.

Able to work collaboratively with all staff.

Demonstrate effective communication skills using tact and courtesy along with the ability to handle pressure sensitive situations.

Able to perceive differences in color and tone.

Must be detail oriented, have multi-tasking abilities and handle tight, high stress deadlines.

Able to stand, walk, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time

Able to climb ladders and scaffolding, and work in high places

Able to lift 70lbs as is necessary in the normal flow of the day to day work.

Able to work in small confined spaces.

Able to work in outdoor seasonal conditions.

Able to work multiple shifts given including days, evenings, overtime and some week-ends based on project deadlines.

Able for some travel overnight for several days at a time to complete assignments.
