Trump Vineyard is looking for a Mechanic to join our winery team. This position is responsible for mechanical and maintenance duties for all equipment and vehicles. The successful candidate will service farm equipment including but not limited to tractors, forklifts, service trucks, sprayers, and vineyard implements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform preventative and routine maintenance, service and repair on all vineyard equipment, tractors, vehicles, small engines, and related equipment
Responsible for ordering supplies, inventory, and repair parts as directed
Troubleshoot problems related to equipment, vehicles, and facility maintenance
Assist in all areas of vineyard operation based on seasonal demand and need
All other projects and tasks that may be assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate well with supervisors, other management and co-workers
Ability to work independently
Ability to read and write, comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos
Advanced math skills
Ability to work on your feet 8 hours per day and to work long hours and/or seven days a week during critical times (namely harvest)
Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 70 lbs.
Able to frequently bend over, kneel, twist, reach overhead, climb stairs, ladders and walk varied surfaces (paved, incline, uneven, etc.)
High School Diploma and 3+ previous work experience on large equipment and vehicles
Knowledge of computing skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft 365)
Must have a valid drivers license
Forklift certification (will provide)
Pesticide and Work Place Safety Training Class (will provide)
