Northrop Grumman is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to support the MOSSAIC (Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities) contract which provide sustainment services for current and future ground-based Space Situational Awareness (SSA) sensors, SSA Command and Control (C2) systems, and Space Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) capabilities. The work in Dahlgren, VA specifically support the SSA C2 and Space BMC2 systems known as the Distributed Space Command and Control system - Dahlgren (DSC2-D). DSC2-D includes several tools and systems that are geographically separated from DSC2-D and are also within the MOSSAIC scope of responsibility that as a System Administrator who will work to monitor and maintain systems. A Systems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Recommendations and implements hardware and software changes, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system and troubleshooting, documenting deficiencies, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. The candidates will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks: • Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Linux/Window servers and workstations • Create user accounts and administer user privileges within active directory • Integrate updated management/monitoring tools • Support critical operations during standard and occasionally non-standard working hours • Work performed primarily at customer location • Supports/creates authoring of system documentation and procedures
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree with 3 years relevant experience OR Masters Degree with 1 year relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- ComTIA Security+ Certification - or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with Windows, virtualization and Linux Experience loading, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows
- Experience with Cyber Security
- Ability to maintain documentation and follow written procedures
- Customer facing (excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills)
