Job Description

  • Produce designs that are feasible and economical to produce in the manufacturing facilities and processes available.
  • Provides alternative design solutions, analyses, justifications.
  • Facilitate selection of designs that achieve best possible trade-off of cost, timing, innovation, and performance.
  • Assumes responsibility for product after transition from design to volume production
  • Contributes to manufacturing performance and customer service by assisting in the solution production or quality problems associated with the design.
  • Ensures that all appropriate tests are performed.
  • Ensures that product designs meet customer requirements.
  • Analyzes production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached.
  • Teams: Building cooperation among individuals and departments locally sharing information, competence and resources, and working to reach PO KPI/PI and also support local decided KPI/PI at each site.
  • Leadership: Setting and modelling high performance teams and individuals of people to achieve successfully product implementations without disturbances at each site.
  • Ownership / Accountability: Taking the lead in getting the job done and accepting responsibility for personal actions, costs and results and also consider the differences we have in culture and production demands.
  • Concern for Effectiveness: Focusing attention on performance results, considering how work affects operating efficiency, and taking into account both the long term and the short term consequences of actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of product or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Proficient using CATIA V5.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment and automotive transportation industry preferred.
  • As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a local and international environment.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural team.
  • Demonstrated lean manufacturing experience.
