ECS is seeking a data focused Applied Technology Analyst (ATA) to work in our Fairfax, VA office. This position is responsible for collaboratively supporting a project team which is responsible for managing an Artificial Intelligence initiative. This position is primarily responsible for supporting a DoD entity focusing on data collection and autonomous aircraft project which includes remotely sensed data, computer vision enabled features, very large datasets, and cloud solutions. Position Responsibilities:- Internal and external project and client reporting
- Record formal meeting minutes and dissemination
- Working with large datasets and performing data ETL, analysis and reporting
- Requirements gathering and documentation, peer-reviewing deliverables
- Daily operational support to technical and program leadership
- Candidates must be able to use critical thinking to pinpoint key details and communicate effectively
- Responsible for assisting the Project Technical Lead, technical teams, and partner agencies/companies with limited oversight.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess an Active Secret Clearance; ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI preferred
- Current or pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Data Science, Math, Finance, Statistics, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or an equivalent field.
- A strong background in computer technology is necessary, including knowledge of data science, programming languages, and MS Office products.
- 1-2 years of programming experience, preference for python
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally while demonstrating technical expertise (fluency in English is required)
- Autonomous self-starter with a passion for analytics and problem solving
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas to and interact with customers, management, and peers with varying levels of technical expertise
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in the customer space and managing competing priorities.
- Top-Secret Clearance with SCI preferred
- Experience with programming and/or scripting: Python, R, SQL
- Experience with Linux
- Experience working with cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
- Experience with data engineering, structure, formatting, conditioning, and analysis
- Experience with database tools and current data science processes
- An interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Experience with version control tools, such as GitHub and Git.
