Deployable Systems Administrator to work in our Fairfax, VA office. Job Description: ECS Federal is seeking a Deployable Systems Administrator to support programs involving the installation, configuration, integration, and end-user tech support for Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence on deployed U.S. Navy platforms. The successful candidate will install, configure and troubleshoot software installs in Linux environments (CONUS and OCONUS). The successful candidate would be comfortable working in a Linux environment and would also have above average experience with networking. The candidate should have prior experience in software development using modern programming languages, basic database management, container technologies, distributed systems, troubleshooting, and system design. Advanced Linux (RHEL) command line competence is necessary. Concise technical communication skills are required. Candidate must be willing to travel 50% of the time to both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Travel: This is a deployable position, potentially in a Danger/Hardship location, and may require travel to additional locations intra-theater. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equal years on the job experience.
- 4 + years of Linux systems administration.
- High competence using Linux (RHEL) command line.
- Knowledge of computer networking.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed software applications.
- Experience producing technical documentation.
- Basic database administrator experience.
- Hands on experience working with container technologies.
- Understanding of DSP/Acoustic, beamforming concepts.
- Software development using modern programming languages.
- Experience working onboard U.S. Navy vessels.
