Fairfax, VA office.

Job Description: ECS is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Director, National Security & Intelligence (NS&I) to work in our Fairfax, VA office as the Developmental AI and Infrastructure Group's (DAIG) Technical Services Manager over the Secure Unclassified Network (SUNet) Enterprise Infrastructure Program. SUNet is a DoD-owned, contractor-managed platform that houses multiple U.S. Government Mission Partner Enclaves, each with a unique set of data, applications, and information systems /sub-systems that support the development of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) algorithms. The successful candidate will report directly to the DAIG Director, and will lead a diverse group of subject matter experts that work collaboratively across organizations to develop, configure, manage, secure, and maintain SUNet's physical and virtual infrastructure for the Mission Partner Enclaves. This position works in a demanding, high-energy environment that requires technical prowess and a strategic mindset for innovative ideas and cyber, network, hardware, and software solutioning that is consistent with the customer's vision and mission. Required Skills:
  • U.S. citizen.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility.
  • 20+ years' experience in support of large-scale IT programs.
  • In-depth understanding of, experience in, and relationships with DoD/Federal/Civilian agencies, structures, missions, and systems.
  • Experience working with multiple organizations within the DoD/Federal/Civilian sector in support of large-scale, operational IT programs, with special emphasis in cybersecurity, network operations management, and IT solution architecture.
  • Ability to work at a high operational tempo, and prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strategic mindset and a hands-on work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a diverse business base and manage a large team of cross-functional subject matter experts.
  • Ability to project a confident leadership style and image to peers, subordinates, executive management, vendors, and customers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Mastery with all Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint).

Desired Skills:
  • Master's Degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • A track record of continuous learning and certification.
  • Business development experience and vendor engagement.
  • Experience with employee coaching, mentoring, and development.
  • Primary responsibility for direct customer communications and engagement.
