We are seeking a Finance Manager for Client Financial Management (CFM) to support our client ASM Research in the metro D.C. area. This position will report to the Director of Finance. The CFM Manager will lead a team that supports project managers and program leadership with a focus on past and present contract financial data and estimate future sales, revenues, and expenditures accordingly. This position will work closely with multiple teams, including executive leadership, and requires strong communication and analytical skills, as well as an understanding of the federal procurement process. The CFM Manager will be working in a dynamic environment with career advancement opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee, direct, and mentor program finance team members Execute defined strategies and procedures required to meet objectives for growth, profitability, and effective contract performance Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual bottoms-up sales, revenue, and cost forecasts at a project, portfolio, and organizational level Develop reports and presentations for monthly and quarterly reviews, and present financial findings and performance to program and executive leadership Analyze company performance and provide recommendations to management for decision making purposes Serve as finance lead and provide oversight on recurring finance support efforts, including but not limited to monthly subcontractor accruals and reconciliation, labor / timecard support, project setup and revenue recognition, internal controls and compliance requirements Collaborate with and lead cross-functional initiatives with finance, program delivery teams, and indirect support organizations Assess strategic initiatives and perform special projects for finance leadership

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study 6-8 years of experience in Finance or Public Accounting 2-5 years of management experience 5 or more years of Government Contracting strongly desired

Other Job Specific Skills Prior experience in Costpoint, Cognos, Salesforce Expert understanding of US GAAP and accrual accounting Advanced understanding of revenue recognition, requirements analysis, and financial planning and strategy Strong experience in Excel modeling and PowerPoint required Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think on one's feet. Ability to manage, guide, and collaborate with and motivate team members. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present in front of others.
