We are seeking an Industrial Security Supervisor to support our client ASM Research. This person supervises, plans, and coordinates corporate efforts under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Under the direction of the Security Manager, oversees the Corporate security contract staff and their related responsibilities. Assists the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Security Manager in complex security related projects and tasks. Supervises a small team of Industrial Security Specialists.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinates / communicates with Government Security Points of Contact to ensure continuity and onboarding of staff for Government projects.

Establishes and maintains successful working relationships with Government and internal customers.

Assists the security manager in the development of personnel security policies and procedures. Makes recommendations for and leads the effort to implement process improvements.

Tracks security clearance investigations and supervises the performance of administrative support functions to include JPAS, VA Backgrounds, e-QIP and other Government backgrounds and serves as a backup to ensure processes are completed in a timely fashion.

Leads and performs the Corporate Security Training and Awareness Process, to include Corporate newsletter, blog and security related articles.

Acts as a resource to employees in completing the Personal Security Questionnaire (PSQ). Monitors the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) for clearance information.

Prepares, issues and maintains DD254s.

Provides answers/analyses to address questions and concerns from management and coaches team members on issue resolution.

Supervises the process, review, and maintenance of all background investigation documentation throughout the process. Resolves minor issues and reports any major/complex issues to the FSO.

Prepares Visit Authorization Letters (VALs) for all projects/personnel. Monitors expiration dates to ensure VALs are current.

Reviews all contracts/orders for security requirements. Coordinates with management to ensure security requirements are properly addressed in each contract/order.

Performs quarterly physical security inspection and coordinates issue resolution. Coordinates the issuance and administration of PIN based door locks. Communicates with external alarm and guard companies.

Responsible for the New Employee Orientation process, reviewing and witnessing ASM Non-Disclosure Agreements, taking fingerprints, badge photos, etc. Makes recommendations to streamline and improve the process to ensure a positive experience for new hires.

Assist the security manager during government audits and inspections.

Responsible for operating and maintaining fingerprint and badging systems to include fulfilling employee appointments, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining relationship with system vendors.

Overall responsibility for leading the program, department, or functional area as designated. Oversees. directs, and mentors subordinate staff; communicates job expectations and enforces organizational policies, procedures and core values; responsible for recruiting staff, approving timecards, and conducting performance reviews and disciplinary measures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience; relevant security training and/or background desired.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Security Program

0-2 years of management experience.

Other Job Specific Skills

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

Working knowledge of NISPOM requirements for a non-possessing facility needed.

Physical and facilities security and risk management.

Requires strong working knowledge of JPAS and e-QIP. Experience in processing SF-86, SF-312, Security Investigations and Periodic Reinvestigations.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Ability to train staff in security and incident response procedures.

Working knowledge of Industrial Security and classified material handling.

Ability to implement security plans and policies.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Excellent attention to detail.

Must have the ability to work with little oversight.

Candidate must be a United States citizen and will be required to undergo a background investigation in order to gain access to sensitive information.

Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, organize and prioritize numerous tasks.

Must be able to juggle competing demands and prioritize work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment.

Certifications/Licensures

CISSP, Security+ or other security certification preferred
