Software Developer
Position Description CGI Federal is searching for a Software Developer with 2+ years of experience to support one of our federal clients. This person will be able to research, design, develop, test, build and deploy a web-based application that will run on AWS Cloud compute infrastructure.Your future duties and responsibilities - Troubleshoot problems related to software applications- Identify and refine end user requirements, forming a backlog and ensuring requested specifications and capabilities are described sufficiently - Work as a part of an Agile team and participate in daily Scrum calls, weeky grooming sessions, and product demonstration- Design, develop, and debug web-based software solutions with a focus on Java, API's/backend services and relational database technologies- Develop solutions using cloud-native technologies, microservices, and RESTful APIs- Work in a Agile/Scrum development environmentRequired qualifications to be successful in this role - Excellent communication and writing skills (ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience)- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL, and web services- Experience with software development best practices- Knowledge of the Agile Scrum methodology- Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies and software patterns#CGIFederalJobBuild your career with us.It is an extraordinary time to be in business.
