Description This position is contingent upon contract award in the Fall 2021. SAIC is seeking candidates to design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance to the organization's business requirements. Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks. Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders. Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard new and existing networks. Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning. Coordinates with architecture and evaluate new and emerging network technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products. Assists network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assists in troubleshooting efforts. May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments. Applies fundamental engineering concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects. Qualifications Bachelors and two years or more experience.
