This role is an entry-level position supporting the Accounts Payable Processing Team. This position works closely with other General Dynamics departments in maintaining their records and other related documents.This position is a hybrid position working out of the Falls Church, Virginia office, a minimum of one (1) day per week to retrieve the mail for scanning.HOW A DATA ENTRY SCANNER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTAs a Data Entry Scanner joining our team to support GDIT Accounts Payable activities in our Falls Church office location. A typical day will include:● Performs routine tasks in one or more functional areas of Accounting or Financial Services.● Work together with scanning team to collect, analyze and input data into their respective organizations, while maintaining strong time management skills and an eye for details.●Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary.● Collect, review, sort and scan invoice documents into the MarkView & Oracle systems for the AP teams.● Maintains files and related record retention used for auditing purposes.●Scan non AP documents such as timesheets, adjustments. and AR receipts for supporting departments.●Assist with Escheatment invoice research (invoice researching via Oracle for outstanding checks)WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education: High School Diploma/GED● Required Experience: 1+ years of experience related to invoice processing and/or data entry● Ability to sort invoices according to specific projects/company codes● Strong attention to detail● Required Skills: Ability to use Microsoft suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)●Good oral and written communication skills; tactful diplomacy●Location: HybridGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home.●401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $18.22 - $23.23. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
