The qualified candidate will participate in the management of all aspects of worldwide tax reporting, accounting for income taxes ensuring the company in compliance with all tax-related U. S. GAAP and SEC filing requirements. The successful candidate will work with businesses, external auditors and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities. Other duties include review of integrated business plans, cash tax forecasts, forward pricing analysis and special project assistance.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Manage the quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision and reporting processPrepare the quarterly and annual tax disclosures for SEC reportingIdentify, quantify and document uncertain tax positions as required under ASC 740Review quarterly tax entries, including the annual provision to return reconciliationUses and maintains CorpTax Provision SoftwareMaintain documentation for SOX and internal audit purposesRepresent the tax provision group in special projects and effectively communicate relevant information to stakeholders within tax and accountingAssist with integrated business plan, cash tax forecasts and forward pricing analysisEnsure all new tax guidance (FASB, SEC, Federal/State/International tax laws) are incorporated into the quarterly provisions and compliance filingsProvide formal responses to inquires or other information requested by senior management, internal and external auditorsMentor and develop tax provision manager and analystIn this role, the selected individual will also have some responsibility for the following:Direct efforts to prepare, maintain, and improve documentation to support reporting functions performed by the tax departmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax compliance and tax planning for interconnectedness between tax compliance and accounting and to drive efficiencies within the tax department as a wholeLead meetings with finance management and other business leaders to address technical tax accounting topics and finance projectsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA certification plus 12 years of progressive relevant tax experience in public accounting or a large corporate environmentExperience with corporate tax provisions (ASC 740)Etrong technical skills and experience of US GAAP and SEC reporting guidanceExperience in translating local GAAP outside the USA into US GAAP Proficiency in tax research tools and Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Tax or AccountingPrior management experienceAdvanced skills in the use of SAP, HFM, MS Excel and CorpTax are strongly preferred Preferred background in Manufacturing/Aerospace/Defense Industry, Big 4 Tax Accounting, or publicly traded company experienceSalary Range: $164,300 - $246,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
