Site Operation Lead

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

Operations Oversite

  • Oversee, manage, and coordinate daily site operations/activities
  • Work towards a high-level vision, but understand the importance of details.
  • Actively uncover technical and organizational risks and ensure they are included in risk mitigation plans to drive successful program execution
  • Pro-actively resolve roadblocks/obstacles
  • Manage multiple complex priorities at the same time
  • Communicate regularly with customer leadership, government representatives, on-site teams and managers, program leadership and team leads, and GDMS engineering management
  • Coordinate across various stakeholders to create a collaborative
Team Oversite

  • Manage, lead, and motivate a team of Field Site Representatives (FSRs), Technical Site Representatives (TSRs), Network Engineers, systems engineers, sub contractors, and their support to customers in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Coordinate with/assist the Site Technical Lead to assign team tasks and track progress across a team supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Update and maintain team schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage and highlight staffing needs required to sustain solid support to the customer
  • Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, scheduling, staffing, and completion of team projects/tasking/efforts within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Support the Site Technical Lead as needed in the creation of/maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure standardization of support/tasks and to ensure engineering policies, procedures and best practices are followed by the team
Monitor and validate training needs

  • Support and develop the technical culture by being engaged, intellectually curious, friendly, motivated to solve complex problems, and inspired to deliver superior user-centered design
  • Ensure personnel and support are in full compliance with contract requirements and the contract are being implemented effectively and efficiently
Admin

  • Manage a team of system engineers, system administrators, software developers as assigned. This includes approving timesheets, accomplishing performance reviews, managing staffing requirements, and hiring new employees
  • Provide guidance regarding established company policies
  • Participate in salary planning, capital equipment planning and acquisition, talent acquisition, GDMS project proposals (bidding and estimating)
  • Manage work, set objectives and meet commitments for self and others
  • Assess contributions from team members, conduct quarterly reviews, and provide feedback/training
  • Mentor and guide engineers to improve the work environment and help others
  • Participate in continuous process improvement efforts (information sharing, streamlining of processes)
  • Facilitate security clearance forms/briefings for on-site team

PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Engineering or Leadership or a related specialized area or field is preferred (or equivalent experience).
