ALTA IT is looking for a Strategy Network Architect for a 6 month contract to hire role. This position will be 100% remote and may have very limited travel involved to client sites.
We are looking for people with network skills in manufacturing areas. People who have implemented both IT networks (computers) and OT networks (manufacturing line sensors, shop floor equipment, RFID, etc.). People who understand connectivity challenges and how to overcome them in shop floor environments. As a Network Architect, the expectation will be to assist senior members of the team in identifying and providing early risk reduction in the system design life cycle and will be responsible for defining the requirements in a high level design topology, as well as documenting the program wide network topology to allow end to end network communication.- Overall responsibilities includes bandwidth provisioning, traffic flow, IP allocation, network management, network hardware and software features such as QOS, routing protocols, and security
- This includes but not limited to network design that include integrating with hardware and software organizations. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with other engineers, network and system administrators, and computer/facility organizations.
- Multi-tasking with good communication skills; both verbal and written are a must.
