Large HOA in Orange County VA seeking qualified applicants for full-time hourly Maintenance Technician position to be part of a Building Maintenance team providing safe and well-maintained buildings and facilities at Lake of the Woods. This position is primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repair of building systems to include water, sewer, electrical, carpentry, heating, cooling and ventilation. General maintenance such as changing light bulbs, painting and general repairs and seasonal opening and closing of designated facilities is also part of this job. Experience with HVAC systems a plus. HS diploma or GED equivalent, trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred. Five years experience in facilities maintenance may be substituted for educational requirements. Must have a valid VA driver's license and able to pass a criminal background check. Must be able to occasionally life, carry, push, pull or move objects weighing up to 80 pounds, climb on ladders, walk on scaffolding, operate basic equipment, tools and machinery of the trade. Work is performed for sustained periods outdoors and occasionally in hot, cold or inclement weather. There is an occasional requirement for weekend or holiday work in support of a special event.
