Responsibilities:

The basic function of the Project Assistant is to assist the Project Management team by successfully completing and managing multiple tasks throughout the numerous stages of projects.

- Utilize project management software to ensure all projects are properly documented and status updated throughout all project phases up to and including submittals, RFI tracking, change orders and invoices.

- Assist with material take-offs, procuring pricing from pre-qualified vendors, subcontractors and technicians.

- Communicate and interface with the project management team throughout all phases of a project.

- Complete all assigned project implementation tasks by set deadlines.

- Assist with bid packages for new jobs for the Lead Estimators approval.

- Upon new project award, assist in compiling a summary page for the job specifications and scope of work for our operations team, which highlights in bullet form important highlights and considerations for doing a successful job.

- Confirms material specifications and options supplied by vendors, conform to the project requirements.

- Learn Client software management systems and successfully utilize per Client requirements as needed.

- Promotes a positive company image by exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to its employees, customers, vendors and the public.

- Assist the Lead Estimator with pre-bid conferences and bid delivery.

- Assist Project Manager in collecting GPS data and associated post processing and deliverables.

He or She will work with the project management team to help achieve project goals. This role will be a direct report to the Senior Project Manager.

Requirements:

- Working towards a career in construction management or related field with a 1-year work experience within the construction industry preferred

- Self-motivated and possess the ability to function independently

- Ability to manage multiple tasks/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment.

- Superior communication and organization development skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross/functional teams.

- Experience with Microsoft Office.
