Job Summary

Electric Transmission Construction Specialist II(Fully-competent role)

Theserole will be responsible for:

•substation site prep/grading •Transmission Line/Foundation Construction •Construction Forestry/Clearing •Access/Erosion & Sediment Controls/Rehabilitation •Substation Electrical Construction

Support may include analyzing and evaluating technical documentation, equipment, process improvements, field conditions and other programs for assurance that construction work is performed in accordance with Company policy, procedures, and/ore requirements. Normally, works under the direction of company construction work leader. Frequently exercises judgment in modifying the detail of work being performed to accommodate field conditions. Makes initial contact with customers and maintains communications when performing work on private property.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Experience required: 3+ years directly related experience with a preferred Associate Degree (Or 5+ years directly related experience with a High School degree or equivalent)

Note:A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications

•Advanced knowledge of operations, maintenance and technical construction applications •Strong knowledge of contract administration and OSHA safety standards •Skilled in applying engineering and construction theories and concepts to complex problems •Skilled in interpreting codes, regulations and practices •Excellent oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing skills •Good computer skills and knowledge, including an ability to use Microsoft Office programs as well as customized software applications •Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and abstract thinking skills •Strong planning, organizational and project management skills •Ability to work in a team environment under a team lead concept, and ability to provide guidance and mentorship to others •Skilled in coordinating multiple tasks at multiple locations •Skilled in interacting with the public •Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below

Education Requirements

Education Level: Associate Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Other Education: Environmental Science, Construction Management

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Associated certifications preferred: International Arborist, State and Federal Certifications for Erosion and Sedimentation Control, Responsible Land Disturber, Construction Management or Project Management.
