Sparks Group has partnered with a software company seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their Enterprise Architecture team. Responsibilities:

Serve as technical leader for the Technology & Engineering division
Assist with creating and revising Technical Specifications for current and future projects
Document systems, architecture, and processes
Drive architecture forward by collaborating with technology stakeholders to ensure technology remains stable, functional, and scalable
Design solutions for research projects, build prototypes to determine a proposed design for new applications and/or services
Design, document, and develop applications and solutions for their platform
Assist engineers in the design/construction of applications and supporting APIs

Qualifications/Background Profile:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 12 years related work experience, or 15+ years equivalent work experience
4-5 years' experience building web-based services and applications using Ruby on Rails
Fluency in AWS services/technologies, serverless architectures, GitHub, Swagger, Ruby, React, SQL (PostgreSQL), CI/CD pipelines and tooling
Practical knowledge of architectural patterns, distributed systems, big data and analytics
Work Status: U.S. Citizen or Holder
