Seeking a Network Administrator Senior Advisor Subject Matter Expert, Master, to join the Production Center Network Integration Team in support of the Air Operations Center (AOC) Long Term Modernization and Sustainment (LTM&S) Program. The Network Administrator position will be home based at Langley AFB, VA. The successful candidate should have detailed knowledge and experience with the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of relevant components in the AOC environment.

Duties include:

  • Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Designs, builds, and implements network systems
  • Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions
  • Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications
  • Plans large-scale systems project through vendor comparison and cost studies
  • Provides a variety of system engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment
  • Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communication machinery, lines, modems, and terminals).
  • Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance
  • Troubleshoot network systems when necessary and make improvements to the network

  • Secure Access Control System (ACS)
  • Experience with remote configuration management tools
  • DISA STIG compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete tasks while managing a variety of assignments
  • Must possess a proven ability to work independently, collaboratively and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment as well as strong customer support skills and strong attention to detail

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 10 years of related technical experience required, or High School diploma and 15 years of related technical experience required
  • Existing Department of Defense (DOD) Secret security clearance
  • Current CompTIA Security +CE or higher
