This position is for a trucking dispatcher. The dispatcher's job is to find loads, negotiate rates, schedule drivers to pick up and deliver loads to customers. The dispatcher is also responsible for keeping all load records and monitoring drivers ELDs.
Primary Job Functions
-Negotiating rates with customers.
-Dispatch drivers in accordance with customer needs.
-Finding backhaul loads.
-Keeping all dispatch load records.
-Creating cost-efficient and safe routes.
-Ensuring customer service to our drivers and customers.
-Last-minute scheduling and rescheduling appointments and communicating this information to customers and drivers.
-Communicate with customers concerning operational and logistical issues.
-Route monitoring.
-Ensuring driver compliance in DOT laws and regulations.
-Ability to work in a team environment.
-Ability to handle high-stress situations.
-Multitasking a few projects at the same time.
-Communicating with multiple drivers and customers at the same time.
-2 + years of recent trucking dispatch experience is required.
-High School Diploma or GED is required.
-Bachelor's degree preferred.
