The Community Idea Stations is seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer for our Harrisonburg Office. This is a full time position with benefits that reports to the Chief Engineer.

The Broadcast Engineer prepares the studio for recordings, ensures good mic positions and quality audio recording. This position maintains and coordinates studio and field gear and may be required to assist production crews on location with equipment setup, breakdown, and recording. The Broadcast Engineer monitors and maintains edit suite equipment and performs post-production audio editing. This position also assists the Chief Engineer at any of the various transmitter, relay, and Master Control sites as required.

Successful candidates will have at least five years' experience in broadcast engineering or audio production. Candidates should have experience with PCs, Macs, Windows, Linux, Final Cut, and Reaper audio software.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be available for occasional evening and weekend work.
