Maxar is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a portfolio that includes government and internal programs that provide end users a web-based platform for creating, editing, and managing geospatial data and the integration of new applications and systems. The successful candidate will become a member of the engineering team responsible for designing and maintaining multiple DevOps pipelines. Deployments will be across multiple networks with separate cloud environments for internal and external users. The portfolio consists of test and operational deployments supporting government customers as well as internal research and development efforts.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain multiple DevOps pipelines.
  • Implement CI/CD solutions to support rapid development and integration.
  • Perform infrastructure support and application deployments on both corporate and government controlled cloud environments and networks, including designing new strategies as needed.
  • Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipeline, and infrastructure issues.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management of release processes.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to understand user and programmatic needs.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current/Active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing to obtain CI polygraph if required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline (4 years of experience would be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with source configuration management tools such as Git.
  • Experience with CI/CD development and administering automated building environments such as Jenkins.
  • Experience with automated deployment technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • AWS-based cloud deployment experience, especially on government networks.
  • Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, IAM, S3, and VPC.
  • Open source application deployments and maintenance experience.
  • Basic LINUX system administration (RedHat and/or CentOS)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and database management
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and ability to communicate hardware and software requirements, configurations, and limitations to customer and development team.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Information Systems Security protocols and policies is not required but highly desired
  • CompTIA Security+ of comparable certification for privileged user access or willingness to complete course to achieve certification.
  • Experience and knowledge with GIS methodologies and applications, especially OpenStreetMap, is not required but welcomed.
  • Experience supporting software in a production environment.
