Maxar is looking to add a System Engineer to join our team to support a customer who has a fast-paced and exciting mission within the intelligence community. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing engineering projects.Life with Us Project: The Systems Engineer will work independently and as part of a cross-functional team comprised of technical experts supporting an established and growing IC mission. You will need to quickly understand complex technical concepts and make assessments, and then articulate your recommendations to the customer. - Assist in executing activities within a project.
- Provide a comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from mission analysis through verification/validation of system performance.
- Plan and support operations through risk mitigation, cost control, and schedules.
- Effectively manage large-scale, integrated projects.
- Must have active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to obtain CI Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).
- 6 years of relevant, professional experience as a Systems Engineer.
- 3 years of experience with planning, coordinating, and managing engineering projects.
- Advanced degree.
- Experience working on-site at a customer location.
- Experience working in DOD / IC.
- DAWIA level II or equivalent in the systems planning, research, development, and engineering (SPRDE)-S&T functional areas.
- 6 years of DoD test and evaluation, SPRDE-S&T manager or systems engineering, program management, or contracting experience.
