Role Summary

The Technology and Innovation Communications Senior Specialist will be responsible for positioning Audi as a leader in digitalization and technology, with a focus on digital business, autonomous and future-focused automotive technology - both externally and internally. As an expert in the tech and digital space, this role will act as a bridge between the product and corporate communications teams, creating cross-functional relationships to deliver results. They will continuously promote Audi's vision for the future of premium mobility-building and strengthening relationships with key journalists, educating influencers and members of the media on the Audi approach, spearheading press activations, and pursuing exclusive opportunities with Audi leaders and experts. Role Responsibilities

Leadership / Strategy (25%)
  • Participate in creating and driving Audi's strategy and communications roadmap to position the brand as a leader in digitalization and technology, with a focus on digital business, autonomous and future-focused automotive technology - both externally and internally
  • Recognize, curate and develop creative ideas and programs that will differentiate the Audi brand
  • Serve as one of the spokespeople for the Audi brand in the U.S., train future spokespeople, and counsel executives prior to interview and speaking events
  • Create deep collaboration with Audi of America and global teams to ensure clear, consistent narrative and messaging
  • Represent the brand at a variety of internal and external events, functions, speaking opportunities and activities
  • Works closely with the AoA Strategy, Digital and Product teams to ensure continuous coordination on all communications efforts
  • Serve as consultant, advisor and filter for potential executive visibility opportunities in the sector
  • Serve as a collaborative partner on the communications and government affairs team, connecting the dots across technology and digitalization
Communications / Brand Building (65%)
  • Be an aggressive media storyteller, maintaining existing relationships and developing new relationships with key national and local media representing business, general interest, tech, consumer tech and more
  • Proactive story-mining with an eye toward identifying areas where Audi can clearly stand out among competitors in North America
  • Garner regional, national and global media coverage on topics noted above
  • Participate in creating and executing internal communications around key topics of digitalization and future technology
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain a regularly cadence of education to key internal and partner audiences-building advocates and ambassadors throughout the brand
  • Play a critical role in executing Audi presence at prominent technology conferences such as CES
  • Constant pulse on digital innovations that are poised to impact the industry
  • Serve as on the record spokesperson
  • Staff AoA leadership for interviews and public facing events
  • Brand reputation and issues management
  • Maintain product knowledge of extensive Audi portfolio
Manage internal process (10%)
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders (Communications, Marketing, Digital, Product, executive team, global teams, employees, dealers and agencies) to ensure proper execution of media outreach and programs
  • Participate in AoA and global planning; support financial tools and processes

Experience
  • 7+ years relevant experience

Education
  • Bachelor' Degree in Communications, Journalism, or an associated area (Arts & Sciences, Economics, Sociology, Psychology)
