Tyler Technologies is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and motivated individual to join our Federal Business Development team.
The ideal candidate will have deep and broad program-side relationships within the Federal Market and will have experience in leading new business development, organic growth on existing projects, and developing agency program-specific solutions. The ideal candidate will have a focus on results, a drive to make a difference and the energy and passion to leverage their prior experience to grow our business.Responsibilities- Develop, grow and manage strategic relationships within Federal Agencies and agency-specific partners
- Identify, position for, pursue and win new business opportunities
- Research and design unique value propositions for assigned territory prospects
- Provide thought leadership to the evolution of capabilities and solutions offerings
- Grow and manage strategic agency relationships
- Provide input to strategic business development planning
- Rapidly learn Tyler solution(s) and be able to communicate strategically with potential clients in order to identify requirements and propose how our solutions will meet their business needs
- Represent Tyler and its solution(s) in prospective client meetings, conferences, and other marketing events
- Support the proposal development activities by ensuring a full understanding of client business needs, budget constraints, and competitive positioning
- Utilize superior oral and written communication skills to develop new business opportunities
- Adhere to predetermined metrics; overachieve sales goals
- Experience in marketing and selling enterprise or case management software in one or more of the following categories: Business Process Management (BPM), Document Management
- Proven Federal industry knowledge in one of the following
- Legal / Litigation / Appeals
- EEO & Diversity
- Human Resources
- Healthcare
- Experience that includes client relationship management, account growth/business development
- You are able to assist and manage proposal efforts
- You have strong organizational, communications, and leadership skills
- You are highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented
- At least 3-5 years of experience with selling complex software solutions to Federal clients.
- Subject Matter Expertise in the Federal Budgeting and Sales cycle with experience in shortening the sales cycle
- Proven software license sales of $1-2 million annually
- Obvious passion for selling along with strong people skills
- Demonstrable experience with over-achieving sales goals
- Ability to accurately forecast and meet targets on the forecasted timeline
- Technically adept and experienced with web technologies used for Business Development
- BS/BA college degree is very strongly preferred
- Prior sales methodology training (i.e. Challenger) preferred
- Agency clearances are preferable but not required
