Role Summary: The Communications Operations Analyst will work closely with the Senior Vice President, Chief Communications Officer to help them effectively run PR & Communications operations in support of Volkswagen Group of America and the Volkswagen brand across the United States. You will work cross-functionally on strategic and operational efforts that impact the organization (e.g., leading and contributing to the vision, strategy creation process, narrative development, etc.). You'll ensure effective communication, alignment, and execution of the organization's strategy and roadmap. You'll also lead the budgeting and procurement process and work across the PR & Communications leadership team to drive resource planning for the department.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Establish and optimize operating processes to effectively manage the organization by partnering closely across multiple functions. Use cross-functional knowledge to understand issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence partners and work. Manage process improvement and optimize the efficiency of operational procedures.
  • Manage annual strategic/business planning processes in coordination with the CCO and key partners. Facilitate communication and decision-making with leaders and teams across the enterprise.
  • Partner with Finance, HR and the PR & Communications Leadership Team to effectively allocate and manage resources supporting the team's operations.
  • Lead and support critical projects based on emergent business needs. Structure and execute analyses required to develop recommendations and communicate findings to the leadership team and the organization.
  • Enable organization-wide execution of initiatives and manage leadership expectations. Identify innovative and leading practice communication tactics to inform employees of business objectives and values, important news updates, and current affairs.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage integrated communications calendar and activities supporting PR & Communications; align and coordinate with other departments across the enterprise.
  • Develop core content in partnership with PR & Communications leaders for more significant platform initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate financial information and monitor spending against expenditure.
  • Drive administration for CCO's office, including calendar management, travel, expense reporting and departmental requests that require CCO approval / input. Plan off site meetings that support team collaboration and leadership development.

Qualifications:

Years of Experience:
  • 5 - 7 years of experience

Education - Required:
  • Bachelors of Arts required

Education - Desired:
  • Advanced degree preferred

Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, superior written and verbal communication and sound judgment to plan and accomplish individual and team goals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to initiate and maintain cross-team relationships.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently in a deadline driven environment

Specialized Skills:

Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or service delivery roles, preferably in communications
  • Experience in stakeholder management and strategic / annual planning for large organizations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex global environment and demonstrated experience in process improvement
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative and integrated fashion with various teams and vendors supporting the PR & Communications team
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners (e.g., Legal, Finance, HR) without direct authority
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and manage changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, strategic, and analytical skills and excellent business acumen

Work Flexibility:
  • Minimal travel
